He was almost killed. How a cobra snake almost killed a man in his toilet while defecating. (Video)

A man has been captured in a viral video killing a very big snake in his toilet.

As eyewitness reports state, the incident took place in the middle of the night at 73 Military Zone by Apollos.

In the video, the man can be heard speaking in the Igbo language saying:

“Jesus Christ, see snake ooo.

“God of mercy, thank you. I hadn’t seen this type before.”

The man who repeatedly thanked Jesus said, “God knows his hands are clean and he hasn’t wronged anybody before.”

The incidence of snake bites in toilets has become so common in recent years that one Engineer Femi Olulegan has taken to social media to urge the public to take precautions.

“Always check every toilet thoroughly before you sit on it.

“Don’t use public toilets in the dark. If you must, don’t sit directly on it. Lift your buttocks slightly above the bowl and be watchful.

“Every six months, pour small kerosene, diesel or a cup of salt into the WC bowl and flush it. It is poisonous to reptiles, as even the odour alone can keep any reptile away for a long time,” he said.
