He was detained for alleged contempt of court for refusing to reveal how he obtained information about a private meeting between prosecutors.
The judge ordered his arrest when Steel brought up a discussion about witness Kenneth “Lil Woody” Copeland. Steel’s actions resulted in a tense exchange with the judge.
During the exchange, a Georgia judge has sentenced the legal representative for rapper Young Thug to serve 10 weekends in jail for being in contempt.
Young Thug, whose real name is Jeffery Lamar Williams, is an American rapper recognized for his unique vocal style, fashion sense, and impact on modern hip hop and trap music. He is credited as a trailblazer of the mumble rap subgenre.
Williams started his music career in 2011, releasing a series of mixtapes. His debut mixtape, “1017 Thug,” gained attention after signing with Gucci Mane’s 1017 Records.
He gained mainstream success in 2014 with hits like “Stoner” and “Danny Glover,” as well as collaborations with T.I., Tyga, and Rich Gang among others.
Due to his diverse sources of income and investments, Young Thug’s net worth is estimated to be between $2.5 billion and $3.5 billion.
