Social media on edge as some say Trump may have thought the White House was part of his property after bulldozing the Rose Garden over ‘stiletto heels’ justification.

Presidents come and go, but one thing they’ve rarely tampered with is the historic character of the People’s House—especially the iconic White House Rose Garden.

Originally designed to host outdoor ceremonies and press events, the garden became the “Rose Garden” under President John F. Kennedy in 1962.

Today amid growing backlash, Trump’s administration has bulldozed part of it to install paved cement, allegedly to make it easier for women in high heels to walk.

Yet millions of women have managed the lawn without issue for decades, and the White House already offers multiple entry routes.

Some say this redesign is just another attempt to stamp Trump’s name—literally—on a national landmark.

Outrage is spreading online, with one critic exclaiming: “He’s trashing our house, and no one will stop him.”

Though the roses will reportedly remain, the grassy area is being torn out for event access.

Commenters note that the Rose Garden holds historic significance and that changes of this scale require approval from a preservation body—an approval Trump has yet to prove he obtained.

This isn’t Trump’s personal estate—it’s a temporary residence that belongs to the people.

Critics say he has overstepped many times, but this move paves over both history and public trust.

What’s next—a gold-plated patio? one social media user quipped, comparing it to the time Trump installed a towering 80-foot flagpole at the White House, allegedly with little regard for safety—even when Air Force One was flying nearby.

Social media commentators continued to express outrage, with one saying, “Everything Trump touches dies.”

Others echoed the sentiment, reminding the public that the Rose Garden isn’t his to redesign at will.

It’s the people’s house, rich with history—and that legacy should be protected.
