The News as it trends.

Donald Trump’s 79th birthday is set to be a grand military spectacle on June 14, coinciding with the 250th anniversary of the U.S. Army.

Many on social media are outraged, seeing what the U.S. presidency under Trump has become—especially with the $45 million price tag—amid Trump-era traffic disruptions that have now left many businesses struggling, while food prices are skyrocketing with little action from Trump to address the issue.

Some say this could only happen in North Korea, China, or Russia, all of which operate under authoritarian regimes, where presidents remain largely unbothered by the everyday struggles of average citizens.

The event, estimated to cost $45 million, will feature tanks, warplanes, and thousands of troops marching through Washington, D.C..

Critics argue it’s a self-aggrandizing display, while supporters see it as a patriotic tribute.

With fireworks, concerts, and military demonstrations, the celebration—according to Trump supporters on social media—is expected to be one of the most extravagant in history.

It is wirth noting that the $45 million military parade on June 14, which coincides with Trump’s birthday, is not directly funded by Trump himself.

Instead, the cost is shared between the Department of the Army and the U.S. Semiquincentennial Commission.

Some Democrats have voiced concerns that taxpayers are footing the bill for what they see as a self-glorifying event.

Below is what will be on display for Trump’s birthday spectacle:

7,500 soldiers will march from Arlington, Virginia, into Washington, D.C., accompanied by 150 military vehicles, including M1 Abrams tanks and Stryker combat vehicles.

The parade will feature 50 aircraft, including Apache helicopters and WWII-era B-17 bombers.

At least seven military bands will perform, along with parachute jumpers and an evening concert featuring five to seven musical acts, likely from the country music world.

The event will conclude with a fireworks display at 9:45 PM. According to media reports, the Washington Monument grounds will be open to the public with refreshments and facilities

The cost is shared between the Department of the Army and the U.S. Semiquincentennial Commission, meaning taxpayers are covering a significant portion of the expenses.
