Former Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan has claimed that former U.S. President Barack Obama is to be blamed for his defeat.

He alleged that Obama interfered in his 2015 presidential election campaign. 

In his book and a currently trending video, Jonathan stated that Obama’s video message to Nigerians was seen as a subtle endorsement of his opponent, Muhammadu Buhari.

However, critics argue that there isn’t concrete evidence to support this claim, asserting that candidates themselves, when running for office, ought to mitigate any circumstances that could lead to their own defeat.
