A devastating bridge collapse in Maval, Maharashtra, left four dead and over 50 injured on June 15, 2025.
A newly released photo shows the aftermath of the disaster.
The 32-year-old iron pedestrian Kund Mala bridge gave way over the Indrayani River while more than 100 tourists were gathered on it, many reportedly taking selfies.
Despite visible warning signs declaring the bridge unsafe, the crowd exceeded its capacity.
Heavy rains in the days prior may have further weakened the structure. Authorities have launched an investigation and pledged accountability for the preventable tragedy.
