A Nigerian woman, Adejoke Afolabi, has been banned from Lagos ferries after sharing a viral video of passengers stranded mid-water due to a fuel outage.
Instead of addressing safety concerns, ferry operators allegedly retaliated by barring her.
The ban has sparked outrage and calls for accountability in Lagos water transport. Many Nigerians on social media are now demanding greater accountability and improved safety standards for ferry services in Lagos, particularly on high-traffic routes like Ikorodu.
One operator was even heard accusing her of publicly embarrassing them.
Adejoke expressed her frustration, calling the ban unfair and dismissive of the real safety challenges passengers face daily.
