The news as it trends.
Mohbad’s father, Joseph Aloba, has announced his intention to pursue legal action against Wunmi, his daughter-in-law, regardless of the outcome of a DNA test that may confirm Liam as his grandson.
In a recent interview, he elaborated on his motivations for this course of action.
Joseph Aloba voiced his apprehensions regarding the circumstances surrounding his son Mohbad’s death, which occurred nearly two years ago.
He stated that he remains unaware of the specifics regarding the events leading to his son’s demise.
Additionally, he is unsure if the boy his son left behind is indeed his grandson.
Even if the DNA test confirms that Liam is his grandson, Joseph Aloba plans to sue Wunmi for taking a five-month-old boy to a club where there were heavy smokers.
He believes that such an environment is not suitable for a young child.
Joseph Aloba emphasized the importance of the DNA test and his major concerns about what caused Mohbad’s death.
He also mentioned that he is not interested in any properties but wants to know the truth about his son’s death and the identity of the child.
In the same interview, he also alleged that while Mohbad was alive, he told him that his wife, Wunmi, poisoned his food and went to another room to engage with another man.
It is worth noting that this is the latest allegation from Mohbad’s father with no evidence to ascertain its veracity.
To those who may not know him, Mohbad, whose real name was Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, was a Nigerian rapper, singer, and songwriter.
He was born on June 8, 1996, in Lagos, Nigeria.
He was known for his hit songs like “Ponmo,” “Peace,” “Beast and Peace,” “Sorry,” “Feel Good,” and “KPK (Ko Por Ke).”
Mohbad passed away on September 12, 2023, at the age of 27.
His death was surrounded by controversy and led to various investigations.
It was reported that an auxiliary nurse administered multiple injections to Mohbad, which triggered an immediate reaction that eventually resulted in his death.
The nurse, who was unlicensed, administered tetanus toxoid, paracetamol, and ceftriaxone injections at Mohbad’s residence.
The Lagos State Police Command and the Department of State Services (DSS) conducted a series of investigations into his death, which are still ongoing.
Wunmi is Mohbad’s widow. She has been involved in the ongoing discussions and investigations surrounding Mohbad’s death.
Wunmi has made allegations against Mohbad’s father, Joseph Aloba, claiming that he protected the nurse involved in Mohbad’s death.
Joseph Aloba has denied these allegations and stated that he had never met the nurse in person.
