Porsha Williams is winning in real life—not just reality TV.

Following her brief 15-month marriage to Nigerian businessman Simon Guobadia, the Real Housewives of Atlanta star has walked away with a court-approved prenup that didn’t just protect her—it expanded her empire.

During the divorce proceedings, which concluded in June 2025, Guobadia’s attorney confirmed that Porsha earns over $1 million annually from RHOA and Dish Nation.

Social media users call her one of the smartest women in entertainment, crediting her with turning drama into serious wealth.

Guobadia, who was detained by ICE and deported to Nigeria, argued that Porsha misled him by staying on television after allegedly promising to retire from public life. But the judge wasn’t persuaded—especially after hearing that Simon failed to cover his financial obligations during the marriage, including temporary support.

With a $40,000 monthly alimony deal, a stake in their $7 million mansion, and the freedom to remain in the house for 36 months (with Simon footing the bills), Porsha’s next chapter looks more luxe than ever.

And with the court video now circulating online, fans are calling it the ultimate comeback glow-up. 💼🍑🏡

Some social media critics seem bewildered about how Porsha Williams came out on top in her divorce—so here’s the breakdown that clears it up:

The $40,000 monthly alimony isn’t based on what Porsha needs—or what Simon Guobadia earns now.

It was spelled out in their prenuptial agreement, a legal document they both signed before their 2022 wedding.

That contract made it clear: if they divorced, Simon would be responsible for paying that amount.

When the marriage ended in early 2024, the court simply enforced what was already agreed to—no extra negotiation, just legal follow-through.

And yes, Porsha 45, keeps her own income—including over $1.5 million a year from Dish Nation and The Real Housewives of Atlanta.

The alimony doesn’t cancel out her career; she keeps working and earning while receiving the monthly payments.

She also scored exclusive use of their $7.2 million Sandy Springs mansion for 36 months.

And yes—Simon 61, still has to pay the mortgage, taxes, and utilities during that time, even after being deported to Nigeria.

Legal and financial experts say this is why prenups matter—understanding every clause determines who keeps what when things fall apart.

Porsha did, and that’s how she walked away with independence, security, and serious luxury.

Porsha Williams and Simon Guobadia first met in the summer of 2020 at one of Simon’s now-closed restaurants in Atlanta.

At the time, Simon was still married to Real Housewives of Atlanta guest star Falynn Pina, whom he had married in June 2019.

Their marriage lasted just over two years, officially ending in July 2021.

The initial introduction came through mutual connections—most notably Porsha’s ex-fiancé, Dennis McKinley, who happened to be one of Simon’s business associates.

According to Porsha, their connection didn’t become romantic until after Simon and Falynn publicly announced their separation in April 2021.

Simon reportedly slid into Porsha’s DMs, and she responded with empathy—relating to his heartbreak.

That private exchange quickly turned into a fast-moving romance, culminating in a surprise engagement by May 2021, just one month later.

Although the timing raised eyebrows across social media and the Bravo blogosphere, both Porsha and Simon have consistently insisted that their relationship began only after his marriage was on the way out.

Meanwhile, Simon Guobadia is now speaking out about his deportation experience—describing it as a “nightmare” and revealing how it unfolded.

According to recent reports, Simon claims he was escorted by seven ICE agents, had his phone seized, and was forcibly removed from the U.S. after being detained for months at the Stewart Detention Center in Georgia.

He reportedly lost weight during custody and called the experience deeply traumatic and humiliating.

Simon’s immigration troubles stretch back over four decades.

He first arrived in the U.S. in 1982 on a six-month visitor visa, but overstayed—leading to a deportation order in 1985.

Though he voluntarily left, he reentered in 1986 on another six-month visa and overstayed again.

According to Law and Society Magazine, his efforts to gain U.S. citizenship were repeatedly denied—most recently in 2022, prompting him to sue U.S. immigration officials in 2024.

Court records cite multiple legal issues dating to the 1980s, including identity theft, credit card fraud, and unauthorized use of vehicles.

Immigration officials claimed his original green card was “unlawfully granted,” and his repeated citizenship applications were denied due to his record.

Despite this, Simon never gave up his pursuit of U.S. citizenship. His final deportation came in June 2025, after a judge upheld the removal order.

Since then, he’s taken to social media and launched a business dedicated to helping others facing immigration challenges—while shining a light on what he describes as mistreatment inside U.S. detention centers.
