Texas Flood
The news as trends. See the video below.
In a gut-wrenching video shared on Facebook, Rachel Sanchez of San Angelo, Texas, showed the world the terrifying reality of the ongoing Texas floods.
Standing in waist-deep water inside her home, she pleads for help: “Help us! 1523 Koberlin St off Bell St.
Anybody with a boat or something, please!!”
Her voice trembles as she pans the camera to show her father, bedridden and unable to move, trapped in a hospital bed as floodwaters rise around him.
The video, which has now been shared over 42,000 times, captures the desperation of a family with no way out.
Rachel says she called 911, but no one has responded yet.
“This is the first time this has ever happened,” she laments after living in the same home for 30 years. “Everyone is struggling so bad to get out.”
The floodwaters have reportedly reached nearly halfway up the walls of her home.
Rachel’s story is just one of many emerging from the disaster-stricken region. As emergency services scramble to respond, her video has become a symbol of the human toll behind the headlines.
The Texas flood, which began earlier this week, has reportedly killed more than 25 people.
Texas, a Republican-led state headed by Governor Greg Abbott, is now facing mounting pressure over its emergency response.
Rachel Sanchez and her family can be reached via her Facebook page from the video link below for those offering help or support.
