Pastor Paul Adefarasin, a prominent Nigerian clergyman, has found himself at the center of controversy after a viral video allegedly showed him pointing a firearm at a content creator who simply wanted to greet him.

The incident quickly gained traction online, with many Nigerians debating whether the object in his hand was indeed a gun or a taser.

As speculation grew, another photo surfaced, appearing to show the pastor holding an item that resembled a Taser Pulse+, further fueling the controversy.

However, Pastor Adefarasin has strongly denied the allegations, stating that he does not own a firearm, has never pointed a firearm at anyone, and that the claims are false and misleading.

He described the situation as an attempt to generate clickbait engagement, insisting that the accusations were baseless.

Despite his denial, Nigerians continue to dig deeper, analyzing the viral footage and sharing their own interpretations of what they believe the pastor was holding.

The new viral photos circulating on Nigerian blogs suggest that the object in question resembles a Taser Pulse+, a device used for self-defense.

The Taser Pulse+ is technically not a firearm. Instead, it is classified as a less-lethal self-defense weapon that uses electric pulses to incapacitate an attacker.

While it has a gun-like appearance, it does not fire bullets, making it distinct from traditional firearms.
