A 23-year-old Ohio man, Anthony McCants, has been charged with murder after allegedly forcing his 12-year-old brother into ice baths as punishment.
The boy endured two rounds of freezing water, lasting up to 45 minutes, with push-ups and physical activity in between.
After the second bath, he vomited and suffered seizures before being rushed to the hospital, where he died from hypothermia.
McCants faces one count of murder and eight counts of child endangerment.
There are no reports detailing the whereabouts of the boy’s mother at the time of the incident.
