The news as it trends.

On various social media platforms, Americans and immigrant families alike are now complaining about Trump’s “shock and awe” immigration crackdown policy.

One person, a Trump supporter named CW, lamented that the woman they hired can no longer come to America due to Trump’s immigration policy.

Some complain that placing a tariff on a country like Colombia for refusing to accept deported immigrants will be felt by Americans.

CW, a Trump supporter, complained about running low on budget as a son of a veteran.

He says one of the reasons he and his family voted for Trump was solely based on his promise to lower grocery prices.

He says the “shock and awe” immigration crackdown is now affecting his lovely caregiver from Colombia, whose salary was only $1,200.

He hired the caregiver because the nursing home was asking for $6,600 a month.

Many joined in the conversation to complain about how Trump’s policies are impacting their pocketbooks with tariffs and the “shock and awe” immigration crackdown.

In another social media comment section on X, another group of H1B visa holders lamented that America under Trump is not what they thought it would be.

Many questioned whether living in America, where everyone is perceived by the status of their immigration status, is worth living. See their comment below.

In the latest development on Trump’s immigration policy, a man was detained in Texas during a traffic stop, and his wife is a U.S. citizen.

The incident occurred when Texas law enforcement agents stopped a family for a “traffic lane issue” and reported the driver to ICE.

The man, who is undocumented, is married to a U.S. citizen and has two U.S.-born children.

He has no criminal history and is in the process of obtaining his green card.

The practice of law enforcement reporting individuals to ICE has evolved over time, particularly with changes in administration and policy.

Under the Trump administration, there was a significant increase in cooperation between local law enforcement and ICE.

This included directives that encouraged local law enforcement to notify ICE about individuals who might be subject to deportation.

However, during the Biden administration, there were efforts to limit this cooperation.

Policies were put in place to restrict ICE’s ability to conduct enforcement actions in “sensitive” locations such as schools, churches, and hospitals.

Additionally, there were guidelines to prioritize the deportation of individuals who posed a threat to public safety or national security.

With the return of the Trump administration, there have been new directives to expand law enforcement’s role in immigration enforcement.

This includes rescinding previous guidelines that limited ICE’s actions in sensitive areas and empowering law enforcement to report and detain individuals for civil immigration violations.
