No One Spared: Mom, Dad, & Daughters Arrested in Cocaine Ring Using Lipsticks to Smuggle Drugs Abroad

In what many on social media are calling an “illegal quick scheme to riches,” Nigeria’s National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has arrested a family of five for operating a sophisticated drug trafficking ring.

The suspects—Ajah Johnson Uchenna, who is the father, his wife Rosemary, their daughters Stella and Ngozi, and a family friend—were all arrested after attempting to smuggle 420 grams of cocaine hidden in 84 lipsticks to the UK, and 280 grams concealed inside a property title document bound for Saudi Arabia.

The drugs were intercepted at a Lagos courier hub on July 3, 2025, and linked to notorious drug kingpin Ajetsibo Emami, also known as “Warri Kinsman,” who was arrested days earlier.

Authorities also recovered over 500 kilograms of cannabis from the family’s home.

Legal analysts estimate the seized cocaine could have fetched over ₦300 million ($200,000) on the black market.

Had the drugs reached Saudi Arabia, the family could have faced execution, as the kingdom enforces the death penalty for drug trafficking.

In the UK, they would have faced life imprisonment. Under Nigerian law, they face life imprisonment or a minimum of 15 years if convicted.

Since their daughters were active participants, they may not be spared, even if underage, depending on their exact ages and the court’s ruling.

This case, first reported by NDLEA Nigeria, has sparked outrage across the Nigerian blogosphere.

It exposes the dangerous desperation behind drug trafficking and the devastating cost of chasing fast money through criminal shortcuts.
