Nigerian actress Rita Dominic explains why she married late at 46

The popular Nigerian actress, who is now 48 years old, recently tied the knot with her beloved partner, Fidelis Anosike, in April 2022. During a recent interview with Ghana’s Joy 99.7 FM,

Dominic explained that she deliberately chose to wait before getting married in order to ensure that she was marrying for the right reasons, rather than succumbing to societal pressure.

Despite facing years of pressure to settle down, she remained steadfast in her decision until the timing felt right for her. Dominic emphasized that she wanted to marry the man of her dreams, not the man that others envisioned for her.

She firmly believed that if anything were to go wrong in the future, she would be the one left to pick up the pieces, not society.

Therefore, she wanted to take the plunge when she felt it was the right time, with the right person. When asked if her delayed marriage was due to not finding her ideal partner earlier, Dominic acknowledged that she had met several individuals, but the relationships simply didn’t work out.

She firmly believed in not forcing things and emphasized that if compatibility was lacking, there was no point in pursuing a relationship that would eventually lead to unhappiness.

Dominic also clarified that her celebrity status was not the reason behind her decision to delay marriage.
