As wild and heartbreaking as it may sound, this story is trending again because of its deeply disturbing and emotional nature.

It centers on Logan Gifford, a 26-year-old man from Las Vegas, who was sexually abused by his mother starting at age 10.

He now fears that his 15-year-old brother may actually be his biological son, the result of that abuse.

The case first came to light in 2015, when Logan bravely testified in court about the years of trauma he endured.

His mother, Doreene Gifford, was sentenced to 8–20 years in prison after accepting an Alford plea for attempted sexual assault.

Fast forward to May 2025, and a judge has now ordered a DNA test to determine whether Logan is indeed the father of his younger brother. The story resurfaced and went viral after Logan gave a public interview, stating:

“To sit here and say that my brother may be the product of my sexual assault is a very visceral thing to think about as a male survivor.”

Logan currently has temporary custody of the teen, who has cognitive challenges, and says he will continue to care for him—no matter the DNA results.
