Despite the harrowing moments, the aircraft landed safely, leaving her feeling “lucky to be alive.”

The harrowing incident was made public on NG media and quickly became a trending topic on social media.

The turbulence on the Air Peace flight was caused by severe thunderstorms, which can create unstable air currents and make flying challenging.

While such incidents are alarming, they are not uncommon in aviation, particularly during bad weather.

Air Peace, a private Nigerian airline founded in 2013 by Allen Ifechukwu Onyema, who also serves as its chairman, has faced safety-related incidents in the past, including rejected takeoffs due to technical issues and bird strikes.

However, records available online show that the airline has passed the IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA), a global benchmark for safety management.
