Governor’s Clemency Short-Lived: Man re-Arrested for N600k TV Theft in Osun State.
In a surprising turn of events, Sunday Omisakin, recently pardoned by Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke for stealing a chicken, has been arrested again.
This time, Omisakin is accused of stealing a plasma TV worth ₦600,000, just days after receiving the governor’s clemency.
Omisakin was among the 53 convicts granted pardon on December 24, 2024.
He was arrested on January 3, 2025, for allegedly breaking into a house in the Iludun area of Osogbo and stealing the expensive television.
The incident has left many in shock, given the recent act of mercy shown by Governor Adeleke
