Ghanaian international footballer Thomas Partey, 32, has been charged with five counts of rape and one count of sexual assault involving three women.

The alleged incidents occurred between 2021 and 2022 while he was playing for Arsenal.

He was first arrested in July 2022, but his identity remained undisclosed until his contract expired on June 30, 2025.

He is scheduled to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on August 5.

Partey denies all charges and says he looks forward to clearing his name.

His lawyer states that he has fully cooperated with the three-year investigation.

Partey is currently engaged to British model Janine Mackson, and the couple has a daughter named Alaia, born in 2024.

He was reportedly due to marry Mackson in Spain the day after the charges were announced.

Once a star midfielder for Atlético Madrid and Arsenal, Partey’s net worth is estimated between £25 million and £61 million, built from football contracts, endorsements, and real estate investments.

Thomas Partey, who is from Ghana, has represented his home country’s national team—the Black Stars—over 50 times.
