Liberian-Australian chef Evette Quoibia has officially broken the Guinness World Record for the longest cooking marathon by an individual, spending 140 hours, 11 minutes, and 11 seconds preparing diverse dishes.
This achievement surpasses Irish chef Alan Fisher, who previously held the record with 119 hours and 57 minutes.
Before Fisher’s record, Nigerian chef Hilda Baci made headlines with 93 hours and 11 minutes, though she initially aimed for 100 hours.
Guinness deducted nearly seven hours due to extended breaks.
Evette’s attempt involved cooking Liberian and West African cuisine, inspired by her heritage.
She meticulously planned the feat, gathering support from volunteers and her community.
Her resilience highlights the dedication required for such a challenge, proving that breaking records takes strategy, passion, and endurance.
