In a recent operation, the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) raided an apartment in Ilorin, Kwara State, seizing drug-laced cupcakes and arresting two individuals.
The suspects, Khadijat Abdulraheem, a 24-year-old graduate, and Ayomide Morakinyo, a 20-year-old student of the University of Ilorin (UNILORIN), were caught producing and distributing the illicit treats.
The raid, part of NDLEA’s War Against Drug Abuse (WADA) initiative in Nigeria, highlights the agency’s commitment to combating drug abuse.
NDLEA spokesperson Femi Babafemi emphasized the importance of such operations in protecting educational institutions and communities from the dangers of drug use.
The NDLEA, according to its spokesperson, continues to work tirelessly to ensure a safer environment for all Nigerians.
