In a shocking incident, a customer at a Wendy’s restaurant in Louisville, Kentucky, shot multiple employees over receiving cold fries and chicken.
The confrontation took place around 10:41 p.m., when Monjah D. James-Wooten, 25, along with two associates, approached an employee regarding their order.
The situation rapidly intensified, leading James-Wooten to brandish a firearm and shoot at the employee. The employee, identified as 26-year-old Twaunesha Coleman, returned fire with her own weapon.
During the exchange, Coleman sustained a gunshot wound to the buttocks and was subsequently hospitalized with injuries that were not life-threatening. James-Wooten and his accomplices fled the scene prior to the arrival of law enforcement.
However, surveillance footage facilitated the identification of James-Wooten, who surrendered to authorities on January 17, 2025.
He is facing charges of second-degree assault and is currently detained at Louisville Metro Corrections, with bail set at $50,000.
This incident has sparked concerns on social media regarding the safety of fast-food employees and the rising trend of violence stemming from minor disagreements.
Wendy’s has not yet issued a statement regarding the matter.
