The Nigerian World.
The news as it trends.
Nigerian billionaire and business magnate Femi Otedola has expressed strong support for President Bola Tinubu’s newly signed tax reform laws, calling them a bold step toward a more transparent and investment-friendly economy.
Otedola, 62, is the chairman of Geregu Power and founder of Zenon Petroleum and Gas Ltd.
With a net worth estimated at $1.7 billion, he made his fortune in oil, gas, and power generation.
He announced on social media that the reforms have inspired him to invest more in Nigeria.
Otedola is married to Nana Otedola, and together they have three children:
Florence (popularly known as DJ Cuppy), Temi, and Fewa.
He also has a first daughter, Tolani, from a previous relationship.
This show of support is significant for Nigerians, as increased investment from top entrepreneurs like Otedola could boost infrastructure, create jobs, and strengthen the private sector – key ingredients for long-term economic growth.
