All Knives Are Out: Why the Rich and Elite Media Are Targeting Mamdani – and Who Really Pays the Price.

In America

The news as it trends.

As Zohran Mamdani surges on a platform of economic justice and grassroots reform, elite media outlets – backed by corporate interests and oligarchs – have launched a coordinated smear campaign to discredit him.

Why? Because Mamdani threatens the status quo.

His unapologetic stance on housing, healthcare, and wealth inequality directly challenges the power of billionaires, real estate moguls, and political insiders who benefit from a rigged system.

Some media outlets have gone so far as to label him a “racist” for demanding that the wealthy pay their fair share.

Others have dredged up his past – such as releasing a rap song in his youth – in an attempt to paint him as unfit for office.

These attacks are not only dishonest, they’re dangerous.

Advocates point to the real crises facing New Yorkers: a surge in homelessness, skyrocketing food and rent prices, and a crumbling public transit system.

Yet instead of engaging with Mamdani’s policy proposals – like rent freezes, universal childcare, and free bus service – critics resort to fearmongering and personal attacks.

Mamdani’s refusal to bow to political donors or corporate interests has made him a target.

But his supporters argue that political office should be reserved for those who are ready to solve problems – not preserve privilege.

As Mamdani heads into the November mayoral election, one thing is clear: when the media buries truth beneath sensationalism, it’s not Mamdani who takes the hardest hit – it’s everyday New Yorkers left to carry the burden.

The single mother losing her apartment.

The retiree forced to choose between food and medicine.

The youth priced out of their own future.

Everyday New Yorkers waiting endlessly for buses that never arrive – especially in neighborhoods far from wealth – and those who sleep on floors each night as homelessness skyrockets across the city.

In the end, it’s everyday Americans who pay the price for protecting the powerful.
