In the midst of economic hardship, a staff member at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) has been caught on video allegedly collecting ₦16,000 in cash from students for admission clearance.
The footage, secretly recorded by a student and shared on X (formerly Twitter), shows the staff member counting the money while refusing to accept bank transfers.
The viral video has sparked outrage, with many questioning the legality of the transaction, especially as desperate students struggle to afford the fee.
The student who posted the video pleaded for intervention, calling the act unfair and exploitative, urging Nigerians to share the video and make it go viral so authorities can take action.
Authorities have yet to respond to the allegations, but the incident has ignited a heated debate on corruption within university admissions.
