Two Nigerian men returning from Brazil were arrested by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) after excreting a total of 116 wraps of heroin and cocaine.
Ofoma Sunday, 46, was intercepted at Lagos airport and placed under observation, eventually excreting 111 wraps of heroin weighing 1.45 kilograms.
He had traveled to Brazil earlier in September to courier the drugs for a promised $2,500.
A follow-up operation led to the arrest of his contact, Nweke Chukwudi, at a hotel in Lagos.
In a separate case, Ukachukwu Ikechukwu was caught with five wraps of cocaine after experiencing severe pain during transit.
He admitted to inserting nine wraps but flushed two to avoid detection. Both suspects remain in custody.
