In a heartbreaking incident in Romania, 49-year-old Omar Farang Zin, an Italian motorcyclist, was mauled to death by a bear in the Carpathian Mountains.
Just hours before the fatal attack, Omar had posted a selfie with a bear cub on social media, unaware of the imminent danger.
Witnesses reported that a large bear suddenly appeared and dragged him into a ravine.
Authorities launched a search operation and later discovered his lifeless body.
The bear involved was euthanized by Romanian officials.
Omar’s tragic death has reignited serious warnings about the risks of interacting with wildlife and the growing dangers of wildlife tourism in bear-populated areas.
