NFL Hall of Famer Shannon Sharpe has issued a heartfelt statement following his departure from ESPN, just weeks after settling a high-profile lawsuit.

Speaking on his Nightcap podcast, Sharpe confirmed he won’t be returning to the network, saying, “I’m at peace with their decision.”

He expressed disappointment over the timing, which coincided with his brother’s Pro Football Hall of Fame induction.

“I didn’t want this news to overshadow his moment,” Sharpe said tearfully.

Despite the controversy, Sharpe thanked fans for their support and vowed to focus on family and healing.

“We all make mistakes,” he added, acknowledging the emotional toll of recent events while maintaining his innocence regarding the allegations.
