In the USA.
The news as it trends. See the video below.
Residents and drivers in Shrewsbury, Pennsylvania were stunned to see thousands of hot dogs scattered across the highway during rush hour.
A truck carrying the sausages suffered a mechanical failure, scraping a concrete divider and ripping open its trailer.
The result? A slippery mess of wieners blanketing the highway.
Crews from the Shrewsbury Volunteer Fire Company rushed to clean up the carnage, using front-end loaders to scoop the sausages into dump trucks.
Fire Chief Brad Dauberman noted, “Hot dogs are very slippery. I did not know that.”
The incident, dubbed the “wurst Fry-day commute,” caused delays and plenty of puns.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported—just a whole lot of wasted meat and bewildered motorists.
