In what some have called a miraculous invention, Pakistan has announced a major medical breakthrough: the development of its first-ever vaccine aimed at preventing breast cancer.
The vaccine was created by the Institute of Public Health Punjab and targets the Human Papillomavirus (HPV), which is linked to certain types of breast cancer.
According to renowned medical expert Dr. Javed Akram, the vaccine is most effective when administered in three doses to girls at age 12, offering lifelong protection against the disease.
Punjab’s Finance Minister Mujtaba Shuja praised the achievement as a milestone in public health, highlighting the provincial government’s commitment to healthcare innovation.
This breakthrough marks a significant advancement in Pakistan’s medical research and could serve as a model for other developing nations seeking affordable and effective cancer prevention strategies.
