In what some have called a miracle and a medical marvel, doctors in Tanzania discovered a knife lodged in a man’s chest—eight years after he was stabbed.

The man, now 44, visited the hospital complaining of pus leaking from his chest.

Remarkably, he had experienced no pain or breathing issues and had lived normally since the original injury.

Due to limited resources at the time of the stabbing, no scans were performed, and the blade remained undetected.

It wasn’t until an X-ray was finally conducted that doctors found the knife buried near his scapula, surrounded by infected tissue.

Surgeons successfully removed it, and the man made a full recovery—after carrying the hidden blade in his chest for eight years.
