The news as it trends.
Hip-hop icon Jay-Z has filed two 40-page motions in federal court to dismiss a paternity lawsuit brought by Rymir Satterthwaite, who alleges he is Jay-Z’s biological son.
In the filings, Jay-Z—real name Shawn Carter—urges the judge to consider eight prior court rulings that denied similar claims and rejected requests for a DNA test.
Jay-Z’s legal team calls the case a “decades-long harassment campaign,” insisting the allegations are baseless and have already been litigated.
Satterthwaite, now 32, says he’s not seeking child support—just recognition and emotional damages.
But after all the noise, critics say nothing has changed and Jay-Z still hasn’t taken a DNA test.
