The news as it trends.

In Tehran, Iran, a 56-year-old woman dubbed the “Black Widow” is facing the death penalty after allegedly murdering 11 of her husbands over two decades.

Authorities say she targeted wealthy, elderly men, marrying them under the guise of devotion before poisoning or suffocating them to seize their assets.

She reportedly withheld critical medications and administered sedatives or industrial alcohol to weaken her victims.

Investigations revealed she had married 37 times—18 temporary and 19 permanent unions.

Her crimes went unnoticed for years due to the victims’ age and health conditions.

The case came to light in 2023 after her last husband’s suspicious death.

She has reportedly confessed to all murders, and her trial is underway at Iran’s Revolutionary Court.
