In the USA
The news as it trends
For the fashion-forward shopper, it’s almost unbelievable—but the buzz is real. SHEIN, the online fashion giant, is now popping up across the U.S. for trial runs.
The latest? A surprise pop-up store at Perimeter Mall in Atlanta, drawing massive crowds and viral TikToks.
Founded in 2008 as an online-only retailer, SHEIN began testing physical retail in 2021, with pop-ups in cities like Los Angeles and Miami.
In November 2023, it opened its first permanent store in Tokyo, blending in-person browsing with QR-code ordering.
Now in 2025, the Atlanta pop-up offers a curated selection—including plus-size and menswear—but no fitting rooms.
It’s part of a data-driven strategy to gauge demand and scout future store locations.
While SHEIN hasn’t confirmed a full U.S. rollout, the excitement in Atlanta suggests it’s only a matter of time.
As seen in trending videos, shoppers are thrilled to finally touch the trends they’ve only seen online—and who knows, they may love what they find beyond the screen.
