Gaza is currently grappling with one of the most devastating humanitarian emergencies in modern history, as reports indicate children are dying from starvation under Israel’s military blockade.

Since the beginning of 2025, over 9,000 children have been hospitalized for acute malnutrition, with dozens tragically confirmed dead.

Heartbreaking images of emaciated infants—some losing their vision due to nutrient deficiencies—are circulating widely across global media.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is facing mounting international condemnation, accused of weaponizing food aid as a tool of war. Israel enforced a total blockade in March, cutting off food, medicine, and fuel.

Although limited aid arrived in May, it proved grossly inadequate. Reports claim over 1,000 Palestinians were killed while trying to access distribution points.

UNICEF has classified the situation as a “child survival emergency,” while Amnesty International and the United Nations have both called it “genocide in action.”

Multiple reports confirm that the International Criminal Court is investigating Netanyahu for allegedly using starvation as a method of control.

Global leaders are demanding unhindered access to humanitarian aid and full transparency, as the overwhelming majority of victims continue to be women and children.
