The news as it trends.
Controversial influencer Andrew Tate, 38, originally from Washington, D.C., has filed a $50 million countersuit against his ex-girlfriend Bri Stern, 27, a social media personality from Miami, Florida.
The legal battle began when Stern accused Tate of sexual assault and battery, filing a lawsuit earlier this year.
Tate responded in August 2025 with a countersuit, claiming Stern’s allegations were false, malicious, and intended to destroy his reputation.
Tate’s lawsuit alleges emotional distress, reputational damage, and financial loss due to what he calls a “smear campaign.”
He is seeking $50 million in damages, arguing that Stern’s public statements caused irreparable harm to his brand and mental health.
Stern has not yet issued a public response to the countersuit.
Legal experts say the case could hinge on proving Stern’s intent and the impact of her claims.
The lawsuit adds to Tate’s growing list of legal entanglements, including prior investigations into his online content and personal conduct.
The outcome may shape future conversations around defamation, influencer accountability, and the legal risks of public accusations.
