The news as it trends

Oscar-winning actress Diane Keaton, known for iconic roles in The Godfather and Annie Hall, passed away on October 11, 2025, at the age of 79 from pneumonia.

She reportedly left $5 million in her will to her cherished golden retriever, Reggie.

Keaton had a $100 million fortune and two adopted children, Dexter and Duke. Reggie, a pandemic puppy she adopted in 2020, was said to be one of her greatest loves.

The trust will provide Reggie with a private home, dedicated caretakers, and ongoing donations to animal charities in Keaton’s name.

Friends say she often joked that her true loves were her kids, Al Pacino, architecture, and that dog.

Her final public photo was with Reggie, sealing their bond in memory.

Keaton was never married. Despite high-profile relationships with Woody Allen, Warren Beatty, and Al Pacino, she once said she was glad she never walked down the aisle
