The news as it trends. See the video below.
Cardi B walked free today. The jury ruled in her favor in the $24 million civil assault case brought by former security guard Emani Ellis.
Ellis had accused Cardi of hitting her, scratching her with long nails, spitting on her, and using racial slurs during a 2018 incident at a Beverly Hills OB-GYN office.
Cardi denied all physical contact, saying she was pregnant at the time and that Ellis was recording her without consent.
The jury sided with Cardi – no damages, no payout.
And Cardi? She doesn’t come to play. After the verdict, she was confronted with what she deemed a “disrespectful” question – and responded with a flying pen.
