In Uganda.
The news as it trends.
Musa Hasahya Kasera, a 70-year-old man from Bugisa village in Uganda, is making headlines again β not for expanding his family, but for urging his wives to start using birth control.
Known for fathering 98 children and having 10 wives and 578 grandchildren, Kasera now says he can no longer afford to support his massive family.
Once a respected businessman and village chairman, Kasera admitted heβs overwhelmed by the financial burden.
He now lives in a modest compound with his extended family and says he can only remember the names of his first and last-born children.
Two of his wives have already left due to the strain.
In a surprising twist, Kasera has begun counseling his wives on the use of contraceptives, something he once opposed.
His youngest wife, Zulaika, is now taking birth control pills, citing the familyβs worsening financial situation.
Kaseraβs story has gone viral, sparking conversations about family planning, polygamy, and reproductive responsibility in rural communities.
