Federal agents descended on the Naples, Florida home of Mary Grace Westman, mother of Minneapolis church shooter Robin Westman, only to find she had fled.
Authorities hoped to question her about the tragic shooting at Annunciation Catholic School, where two children were killed and 18 others injured.
Westman, who previously worked at the school, has refused to cooperate and has now retained a high-profile criminal defense attorney.
Her current whereabouts remain unknown.
Investigators continue to gather evidence, including electronic devices, as they search for answers.
The shooter, who identified as transgender, died by suicide after the attack.
The incident has reignited debates around gun control and mental health in schools.
