A Nigerian citizen, Chukwuemeka Victor Amachukwu, has been extradited from France to the United States to face charges tied to cybercrime and financial fraud totaling over $3.3 million.

U.S. authorities allege Amachukwu was involved in a network of hackers using phishing schemes, identity theft, and malicious software to siphon funds from victims, including U.S. citizens and institutions.

The extradition underscores the global cooperation in tackling cyber fraud, as investigators from multiple countries collaborated to track and apprehend the suspect.

Amachukwu now faces federal charges in the U.S., where prosecutors are expected to pursue restitution for victims.
