The news as it trends
A 52-year-old British mother has reported being sexually assaulted mid-air by a parasailing instructor while vacationing in Sousse, Tunisia.
She had originally booked a tandem flight with a friend, but windy conditions forced each of them to fly solo with separate operators.
While airborne, she claims the male instructor groped her and pressed against her inappropriately, leaving her feeling “violated and scared.”
Upon landing, she broke down in tears and immediately filed a report with the water sports center and local police. The alleged perpetrator has since been arrested.
EasyJet, which arranged the trip, has issued its support and is working with hotel partners to assist the victim.
The case has sparked public outrage and intensified calls for stricter regulations surrounding safety, training, and professional conduct in adventure tourism.
