Nigeria – Airline Safety & Security
The news as it trends.
Today, passengers aboard Air Peace Flight P47190, operating from Lagos to Port Harcourt, were left in a state of panic and shock when the aircraft veered off the runway and ended up in the wrong location entirely after landing on Sunday, July 13, 2025.
Although all passengers disembarked safely and no injuries were reported, the incident reignited public concern about the airline’s operational history.
Critics on social media claim Air Peace has faced “too many near-misses,” calling for regulatory scrutiny.
The airline, however, stated that the crew handled the situation with professionalism and initiated standard safety procedures.
Authorities are investigating the runway excursion.
While the passenger count was confirmed to be 127, travelers and aviation experts alike are questioning the consistency of Air Peace’s flight safety record.
