Woman Left in a Hurry After Poisoning a Lover and Absconding with His Car.

In a disturbing murder case that emerged in Lagos, Nigeria, a woman was apprehended for the poisoning of a 65-year-old man.

This incident took place on March 27, 2025, in the Oko-Oba district of Lagos, where the suspect had rented a service apartment with the victim.

However, she fled just hours later, absconding with his vehicle and personal belongings.

The following day, the authorities discovered the man’s lifeless body alongside an empty syringe and several cans of malt beverage.

The suspect, identified as Adeola Adewale, was recently arrested in April and admitted to contaminating the victim’s malt drink with a lethal substance, leading to his death.

Ongoing investigations aim to uncover further details about the circumstances surrounding this tragic event.

It remains unclear how Adeola and the victim, Mr. Adebayo, were acquainted, but they had checked into the service apartment together in the Abule-Egba area of Lagos.

Shortly after their arrival, Adeola departed, taking the victim’s car and possessions.

The grim discovery of Mr. Adebayo’s body the next day, along with evidence pointing to poisoning, has raised serious concerns.

At the crime scene, investigators recovered an empty syringe, two discarded cans of malt drink, and two bottles of water—key pieces of evidence in the ongoing inquiry.
